Solidimension
The Solidimension 3d Printer is marketed by 3D Systems as the Invision LD. It builds parts from plastic sheet material first by fusing the new layer to the one below, then masking and trimming the slice profile in to the layer. Once complete the surrounding material can be removed and the the component is ready to use.
